Mary Jean's Story
I was the quiet girl in the honors classes and I remember a lot of your names and faces, especially Sandy V., Karen, Kathy, Carmen and Sharon. Thanks to you all for being my friends.
I became widowed in 75 and moved back to Tennesee. I met a wonderful man (who was coaching my boys in little league) they were 4 and 5 years old. I also had a daughter that was 10. Dave was divorced without children. We married in 78 and moved to Washington State in 1980 for economic reasons. I worked at Tacoma General Hospital as assistant to the Pharmacy Director for over 16 years.. remained there until my health forced me to retire 2007.
I have 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren that include a set if identical twin girls.
The hardest thing I ever went through was the death of my son who was 25 and succumbed to the "sudden cardiac errythmia, secondary to cardio myopathy". This is the same illness many athlete have died from. My son died in 75 and I was totally insane for about 3-4 months. Thanks be to God, my children and my husband helped to pull me out of this depression. My son left 3 great kids that we adore (we weren't that happy when we found out their parents were pregnant). Thank goodness God's in charge and I'm not.
